INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING, ASSESSMENT/TESTING SERVICES
Dr. Gerald Kaforey, PHD, LPC-MHSP
I am trying to write some clever snippet about my life as a therapist that expands over 35 years. Just can’t find one. I remember getting into this field because I simply wanted to help others. I had two great mentors growing up in this field and they guided me in a direction that was ethical in practice, trusting, but most important challenging of others. If you are looking for a therapist that will acquiesces your behavior and thoughts, I am not the person for you. If you want someone that will be honest, forthright, and push you to make changes, I can help you.
Over my career I have worked in and seen many types of people. I have worked in community mental health, addiction, worked with athletes (high school, college, professional, Olympic) and with our proud Military population. I have seen a lot and have helped thousands of people in my career.

Chris Sartin, MA, LPC-Temp
After 35 years of being a restaurateur and a musician, I entered my true passion of helping others and sought to become a therapist. I wanted to help people who suffer from some of the same issues that we all struggle with. I found the therapeutic process to have changed my life and through that I was able to find peace and joy in life. My goal is to help others “let go” of attachments and find peace.
As a Person-Centered Therapist, I am able to connect strongly with people. I will help you get to the “root” of your emotional and mental suffering so you can heal. Through my own lived experience and experience working in treatment facilities, I can provide you with the ability to choose life over suffering.
I help my clients heal using a variety of techniques in order to transform their consciousness and help make their life joyful again. I use evidence based methods such as mindfulness, meditation, CBT, and components of exposure therapy and DBT. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, sexual addiction, PTSD, religious trauma, suicidal ideation, and sexual abuse. All religious beliefs or no belief at all are welcome. Everyone deserves peace.
